11.5. Clear Cache & Cookies on Internet Browsers

PLEASE NOTE: For most browsers, you can press and hold the Shift, Ctrl, and the Delete keys to bring up the data clear page.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner.
  3. Under more tools, click Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Make sure the time range is all time.
  5. Check both Cookies and Cached Images and Files.
  6. Click Clear Data.
  7. Restart your browser.

Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click the 3 horizontal lines in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Options, then Privacy & Security.
  4. Under Cookies and Site Data, click on Clear Data.
  5. Make sure both Cookies and Cached Web Content are checked.
  6. Click Clear.
  7. Restart your browser.

Safari

  1. Open Safari and select Settings.
  2. Select Privacy and then click Manage Website Data.
  3. Click on Remove All and then Remove Now.
  4. Go back to the Preferences window and select Advanced.
  5. Check the box next to Show Features for Web Developers to show Develop in menu bar.
  6. Select Develop at the top of the screen and select Empty Caches.
  7. Restart your browser.

Edge

  1. Open Edge.
  2. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Settings and then click on Choose what to clear.
  4. Select the boxes next to Browsing history, Cookies, Cached Data, and Download History.
  5. Select Clear.
  6. Restart your browser.

Internet Explorer

  1. Select the gear icon at the top-right of the page.
  2. Click Safety and then choose Delete Browsing History.
  3. Uncheck Preserve Favorite Website Data.
  4. Check Temporary Internet Files and Cookies and click Delete.
  5. Restart your browser.
