2.11. TOTA

TOTA stands for Transitional Program for Occupational Therapy Assistants. This is a program for persons who are certified by the occupational therapy credentialing board (NBCOT) as occupational therapy assistants to achieve a bachelor's degree in rehabilitative science and an entry level master's degree in occupational therapy. Graduates of the MOT program can sit for the national certification exam for the credential of OTR (occupational therapist, registered). This is a 3 ½ year program of online courses and on-campus meetings one weekend per month.  See the TOTA program website for more information.
